2. Emergency Plan: Develop an emergency plan that includes procedures for your solar power system. Inform all household members of this plan.
3. Battery Check: Ensure your batteries are fully charged and in good condition.
4. Backup Power: Ensure your generator has fuel and oil, and test the auto-start function if needed. 
5. Keep Emergency Supplies: Have emergency supplies, such as flashlights, batteries, and a first aid kit, readily available.

During the Disaster

3. Disconnect if Necessary: If there is a risk of flooding or severe damage directly to the system, consider turning off your power system to prevent electrical hazards.
